Resilient Homes New Mexico is a statewide storytelling campaign that uses real resident experiences to build public understanding, trust, and support for continued investment in residential energy efficiency programs across New Mexico.

Objectives

  • Demonstrate the impact and reinforce the importance of continued funding

  • Encourage trust and participation through real resident stories 

  • Educate about the actual work performed in an energy retrofit

Purpose: Demonstrate the impact of energy programs and reinforce the importance of continued funding

Audience: Policy makers

This video features the voices of New Mexico's leaders including Senator Mimi Stewart, Councilor Tammy Fiebelkorn, CSCNM’s Christian Casillas, and Prosperity Works Founder Ona Porter. The video explains why continued investment to scale these programs statewide will help our state achieve environmental goals at the same time as relieving the energy cost burdens for low-income residents.

2. Neighbors Helping Neighbors 

This video spotlights the everyday impact of energy efficiency upgrades for real New Mexicans. It highlights tangible benefits like lower bills and safer, healthier homes; how upgrades support long-term housing stability and dignity; and the power of trusted messengers and neighbor referrals.

3. What Happens in an Energy Retrofit?

This educational video features contractors from Energy Works explaining the specific upgrades conducted in residents’ homes, why these measures matter, and how they lead to lower bills and greater comfort.
